Pokemon don't come from another plane, so I think classifying them as a magical beast is appropriate. Ah, nice. Seems like an interesting variant.

Pokemon don't come from Greyhawk , Faerun, Eberon, and any of the other lands either, just seemed the most logical/plausable compromise.

That is true. I would picture myself playing in a world where Pokemon were native to. Does playing 3.5 DnD *require* you to make a setting in Grayhawk, Faerun, or Eberron? I would imagine particularly-creative DMs would craft their own worlds, like Frodo does in my other game.

I would say a fair portion of DMs create their own worlds, and a lot of content in many books support doing this with pantheons and other elements you can plug in.
The D20 system is also used as the core for a lot of other RPGs, though. The WoW RPG uses (or used, they printed another system too...) the D20 system. I imagine there's a Pokemon D20, but I wouldn't be very interested in it.

Keep in mind that I pretty much made this sheet as a joke and out of boredom. If there was a Pokemon d20 out there, I'd be doing the opposite and try to create some sort of elven ranger, human warrior, or gnomish arcanist in that game. xD

Is it possible to play unintelligent characters?
