The party was victorious. Their ratmen pursuers slain, the bathhouse owner under their control, Defiance gets to work uncovering evidence of what is truly going down in the city.
While some search the bathhouse, and others uncover it's hidden secrets, Naralon waits over the sleeping form of Orak Stonehaven, owner and proprietor of Orak's Bathhouse. The first thing he'll see upon waking up from Naralon's sleep spell is the cheery form of the gnome herself. Her eyes closed with a warm smile, she peers down at Orak as his eyes slowly open.
"Hiya! Sorry we had to do that. But your goons are beaten, and we know you're involved with everything."
"But first, I should tell you a story."
"Just recently, we captured one of the nasty skulks down in the ruins of the city below this one. We beat his party after they tried to take our heads, and got 'em cornered. Kind of like you are now! Well, I was the only one of us able to get anything out of him, as I was the only one who spoke the thug's language, Undercommon. But as you can see, that's clearly not the case here. We can understand each other just fine!"
Naralon peers down at Orak as he likely tries to struggle from his bonds.
"I didn't get a whole lot out of him. The general consensus of my friends here was that I was too soft on him."
Naralon gets up and begins pacing around a bit.
"I suppose it's true. I promised the creature safety for cooperation and I delivered too quickly. I don't have the stomach for torture, beatings, and all of that dark business. So here's the deal! You can talk to me about what you know regarding the goblin attacks on the city. Tell me why a true-blooded dwarf like you is working with those vile creatures! Tell me your involvement in the attacks, and where the secret staircase my friends found leads to."
Naralon closes her eyes and looks up into the air with a finger raised, as if thinking.
"Tell me, or I can let one of my friends deal with you their way. They're not nearly as nice as I am. Especially Elisabetha over there. I doubt she's too happy about what you tried to do to her, and would have a few things to say to you." she says, looking back down at Orak with a friendly smile.
