Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo has connected.
Aeter (DM):
Last time, our heroes proved to be either very lucky or very intuitive as, in the first two days of their search, they managed to find not only the location of the missing Wands but they were also able to hunt down the name of the group that was responsible as well: the Ebon Triad. After a discussion with a fence named Artus Shemwick, Tia purchased the wereabouts of their headquarters. It was now time to strike upon the Ebon Triad stronghold, recover the wands, and return to Cauldron before the entire city was flooded! Argios the Red had been ordered to join the group, which was to set out the next morning.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia had been up begrudgingly for two hours when the sun began to rise. She couldn't sleep at first and when she finally did find sleep, she woke up shortly after. Her poison training was done and the affects had finally begun to wear off. She waited outside of the temple for the others to wake up, though if they took much longer she'd wake them herself.
* Enzek spent the night at the temple, knowing that time was of the essence and they would have to depart immediately upon resting. His family would understand; he was doing it to save their lives among the hundreds already in peril.
Castellan:
Castellan had departed for his own cell in the Cathedral of Wee Jas, keeping to himself as he slipped into the ornate building. His room was spartan and dark, befitting the lifestyle of the clergy there. After cleaning himself up (magically, of course,) a minute helping of breakfast, checking over his supplies, and that oh so important magical warm-up, Castellan returned to find Tia outside the Temple of Saint Cuthbert. "Miss Tia; good morning," He greeted softly with a yawn.
Erialistia:
She gave a soft nod, muttering to him, "Did you sleep like the dead?" she said casually.
Castellan:
He smiled tiredly. "You've never known me to be one to sleep so soundly."
Erialistia:
"Mn," she offered though it was something they had in common. She wasn't a morning person, though, so he wouldn't get much conversation out of her.
Aeter (DM):
Argios stood as still as a statue beside the entrance, his white-and-crimson armor perfectly shined. Instead of the simple cudgel he normally wore, he had once more taken up the weapon from his adventuring days: a large axe. The end of its shaft rested upon the ground as he loosely held the point between the large blades. A shield emblazened with the symbol of Saint Cuthbert hung upon his back just over a long flowing cloak of crimson. Argios the Red indeed. The rain that fell steadily, showing just how wet of a winter this would end up being, barely seemed to dampen him as he stepped from beneath the awning and down towards the group. "Good morning, Miss Tia. Master Castellan. Brother Enzek." A nod was offered to each. He hadn't been adventuring for some time, it seems; he did not even hold a backpack with him. He was not there to loot, after all -- just to obtain the wands.
* Enzek prescribes Castellan some Ambien.
Enzek:
"Mornin', Brother Argios! You certainly look dressed for battle!" he says with a grin.
Erialistia:
(Is he naked other than that shield and his cloak?)
Aeter (DM):
( He's wearing armor. :| )
Erialistia:
I demand a paragraph per piece of armor.)
Aeter (DM):
( HIS WHITE-AND-CRIMSON ARMOR PERFECTLY SHINED )
Erialistia:
(And one describing his endowment.)
Castellan:
"Lord Argios," Castellan greeted mildly, but politely. He seemed more dampened than usual, but he was amply prepared, given his pack and manner of garb.
Erialistia:
"Do we get horses again?" she mumbled to the party, though them hearing her was hit or miss.
* Enzek hefts his pack over one shoulder with one hand, and holds his crossbow with the other. He's ready to do this thang.
Erialistia:
(WHY IS ENZEK STILL INJURED?)
Erialistia:
(Get a bandaid!)
Erialistia:
(Who has a landline anymore?)
Erialistia:
"No one knows?"
Argios the Red:
"It is not a long journey. It would be much wiser if we walked, do you not agree?"
Castellan:
"Should be right down the hill, Miss Tia."
Enzek:
"Yep, we'll be fine!"
Enzek:
SPOILER
Erialistia:
"If I agreed I wouldn't have asked but, mkay..." She muttered to herself as she walked off, following the crude map.
Enzek:
NERULL DIES
Aeter (DM):
"With the coin pouch freed from Tia's belt and tucked skillfully into his own picket, Artus smirked. He lifted his hand to Tia's cheek, guiding her back away from him. They had relationships in the past, but he did not trust her. After all, it was difficult to trust a 'client'. "Triel intends to ransom the wands back to Cauldron after the flood waters rise to Lantern Street. She joined the Ebon Triad, and founded a base for them in a ruin that can be accessed... here." He drew forth a rather crudely drawn map from his pocket, handing it forth to Tia. A red 'X' was marked on the outer northeastern slope of Cauldron, about 200 feet down from the wall."
Enzek:
"Welp, shall we?"
* Enzek starts heading down toward the North Gate.
Castellan:
"What should we expect, do you think, Lord Argios? These thieves clearly serve a trifecta of dark powers... Will there be priests to those gods amongst the thugs, do you think?"
Enzek:
"Gotta say, I'm glad to have ya with us, Brother. We were lacking some muscle back at the Monkey."
* Enzek nods at Castellan (even if he wasn't addressing him). "Don't worry, I've planned a bit, knowing what we're facing. We'll be fine, I'm sure!"
Castellan:
(brb grabing cannister of dihydrogen monoxide.)
Aeter (DM):
Approximately two-hundred feet down, off of the road on the north-eastern side of Cauldron, stood an old lava tube just like any other. They arrived around 10AM after the steady climb down the side of the mountain, using stealth once they approached the marked entrance.
Aeter (DM):
(this will just be roleplayed without visual aid until you get into it)
* Enzek definitely does go into a more stealthy mindset, fitting for a gnome. He takes the lead a few yards away from the rest of the party, scouting ahead as best he can.
Erialistia:
The clink and clanking of Arigos was a draw back to the thought of having someone who could take some hits. It wasn't the stealthiest thing in the world, and his colors and symbols didn't really help desguise him any either.
Erialistia:
She wasn't really sure who had suggested that the healer of the group go first. If she was apart of this conversation she couldn't remember, it was still too early for that. Either way it seemed like a poor choice.
Erialistia:

Castellan:
Castellan stayed somewhere between Argios and Tia, keeping something between his back and a hooligan's dagger.
Erialistia:
Every time the shield, armor, axe, or even just the bottom of his boots hit against anything else mentioned or the ground, Tia facepalmed inside. She ketp herself positioned slightly in front and to the side of him, hoping whatever was there would be seen before it charged at him instead of her.
* Enzek finds a boulder or some sort of cover as they near the entrance of the lair they are seeking. He peers down toward the lava tube that is their target, trying to pinpoint any noteworthy sights. Perception: « 1d20+10 = 12 + 10 = 22 »
Erialistia:
Tia imagined this was probably the first time Arigos, or Castellan for that matter, penetrated a hot, steamy tunnel like this one. Ironically she knew the gnome had done this before.
Erialistia:
(BECAUSE HE HAS KIDS)
Erialistia:
(BEFORE YOU TWIST THAT)
Enzek:
LOL
Aeter (DM):
There were no guards. There was no light spilling from within. Really, without the map, this would have just been another lava tube; a small entrance into the mountain where animals lived. They were scattered across the mountain, and most were small and caved in to the point that they did not venture much further into the mountain.
* Enzek nods to himself and motions for the rest of the party to proceed. He was impressed; this would certainly be a good place to set up shop, as far as evil, subverting, Cauldron-based cults go.
Castellan:
Castellan would creep up with Tia once they were given the go-ahead signal from Enzek - in case Argios was a little out of the loop, he'd wave him to come up as well.
Erialistia:
"How about the red guy goes first?" she whispered to Enzek, nodding him towards Castellan behind her. It was partially to draw the attention at him while they slipped around him, and partially because she didn't want Arigos to try healing Castellan.
* Enzek nods at Tia. "Sound plan. Just wanted to make sure the coast was clear before we went in."
Enzek:
Her boobs penetrate planar boundaries. ))
Castellan:
"The element of surprise likely won't be on our side - Miss Tia's accomplice is likely to be playing both sides for profit, were I to guess. Given Lord Argios' presence, we're hardly quiet... A sound plan, indeed."
Erialistia:
"Lead the way good sir, we are mere students under the guidance of your experience," so she could flatter him? He might die before the end of this, might as well make him feel good.
* Enzek smirks. "I wanted to make sure our approach was clear. Once we're inside it probably wouldn't matter."
Argios the Red:
"So, perhaps we should remain tight in and travel as a close group." He reached over his shoulder, grasping his shield. He pulled it onto his arm, strapping it tight and hefting the great axe easily with one hand, holding it tight to his side as he started down towards the tunnel. It seemed Tia was doing well in flattering the paladin, yet all she was offered was that same warm smile before starting the slow climb down into the tunnel.
Enzek:
"Agreed. No telling how tight the tunnels are."
Erialistia:
Tia smirked to herself, but offered no explination.
Enzek:
(( My parents want me to take out the trash, so I'll brb and get that out of the way so I can continue interrupted. Brb a sec. ))
Enzek:
uninterrupted*
Castellan:
Castellan dips his fingertips in a small amount of embalming alcohol, tracing patterns on himself with one hand as he grasps his Ruby Skull of Wee Jas in the other, muttering softly the words of a spell to fortify himself against the trials ahead. « 1d10+5 = 2 + 5 = 7 »
Aeter (DM):
The lava tube was a long, circular, winding, downhill passage that seemed to maintain a universal diameter of about six feet. The tunnel, however, was not completely dark further down. It was periodically lit by patches of phosphorescent fungus and, most curiously, small bowls lit with a fire that had no heat and required no fuel. Numerous small fissures in the rock walls provide some ventilation and all angles were smooth.
Aeter (DM):
The lava tube suddenly ends at a small ledge overlooking a vast cavern. A small pile of wooden planks is stacked on the edge of the ledge. Nearly a hundred feet below, the waters of a lake filled with dimly glowing green algae lap against cave walls encrusted with pallid fungi. A small stone building is built into the side of the ledge wall, and a pair of heavy ropes descends from a winch on the building’s side, dangling across the lake to a similar winch attached to a wooden structure on the lake’s far shore. Suspended on these ropes is a rickety looking wood-and-iron cage mounted on a system of pulleys. The phosphorescence just barely illuminates the vast cavern, and you can see what appear to be the partially melted ruins of several buildings protruding from a sparkling wall of volcanic rock along the far wall of the cave. Several of these buildings have small doorways at ground level, but you see no windows in the ominous dark facades. The air here is thick, warm, and excessively humid.
* Enzek proceeds carefully as they go down the halls, almost tip-toeing along.
* Enzek mutters to himself as they proceed, studying the features of the cave as they do so. "Nice place to visit, but I wouldn't wanna live here."
* Enzek 's eyes flex.
Aeter (DM):
You are currently about 90' above the green murky water. The cage seems to lower down from the platform you are on down to the beach nearly 100 feet below.
Argios the Red:
"Indeed... " Argios muttered as he stepped forward towards the planks.
* Enzek heads to the end of the small tunnel there and peers around.
* Enzek approaches the cage-like thing and studies it. K: Arch and Eng « 1d20+3 = 9 + 3 = 12 »
Castellan:
"Facenating..."
Aeter (DM):
Stepping downwards over the water made the affect even more foul: The ruin was warm -- reaching 80 degrees -- remarkably humid, stale, and nasty smelling; existing somewhere between decaying flesh and rotten eggs.
* Enzek 's nose twitches; he can probably smell it better than any of the dumb humans, with his enhanced gnomish gnose.
Erialistia:
Tia frowned, covering her mouth to keep from smelling the air. This must be what it's like fucking a whore, she was thankful she wasn't a whore. "Ugh... Why here?"
Enzek:
"The terrible smell must be a first line of defense, or something, hah!"
Castellan:
Castellan wasn't unuse to stenches - he did work with the dead, after all, which involved a myriad of unpleasant smells. "It's likely a hint to Cauldron's volcanic past... I wouldn't touch the water, if I could help it."
Erialistia:
Tia didn't see the door, it was dark and she was overpowered by the smell. If she hadn't been awake before, she was now.
* Enzek is drawn to the building they're in. K: Arch and Eng « 1d20+3 = 19 + 3 = 22 »
Aeter (DM):
The architecture was unnerving, looking almost like a more stable structure of dwarven design that was partially melted. All angles on the exterior are smooth and curved. Roll a perception check, please.

Erialistia:
"Hrm... Let me go first on this thing..."
Castellan:
"Are you certain, Miss Tia?" Castellan didn't usually fret so, but it was clear he didn't trust the algae-skinned water below.
Erialistia:
She retrieved her rope from her pack, wrapping it around her torsoe and tying it tight before handing the other end to Castellan to hold as she ensure the rope would stay firmly tied."
* Enzek steps up to the door and fiddles with the handle, checking to see if it's locked.
Erialistia:
No " )
Aeter (DM):
The handle was not locked.
Castellan:
Looking for somewhere secure to fasten the safety line to, Castellan tries the door.
* Enzek pulls the handle and opens the door!
Erialistia:
Watches as the two hold hands while grabbing the door knob. Odd men.
Erialistia:
(brb)
Aeter (DM):
The room that was exposed was dominated by a large winch, connected to a spooling system that seemed to be connected through the wall to the transport cage outside. A tiny one-foot-square circular window is set into the southern wall. Affixed to the wall next to the window is a runed stone that seemed to be able to be pressed. Roll a stealth check, Enzek.

Narthus:
"Who's there?!" Came the loud call from the westernmost door.
* Enzek grumbles to himself, chastising himself for the lack of subtletly. He calls out in a lower, weaker voice. "Erm, just us, and our friends."
Narthus:
'Us' wasn't a good enough answer. The man, now armed, pulled open the door. His eyes widened. "Intruders! KILDIV! TO ARMS!"
Narthus:

Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:

Castellan grasps the femur in his sash, pulling it free as he holds it between his hands. His eyes close as he mouths the words of power, and in a moment, the knobbier end of the bone had grown and reformed into that familiar, deadly blade. With his new weapon, Castellan ducked around the corner!
Argios the Red:
Argios's brows lifted. Did Master Castellan just dash through the door with a large sword made out of... bone?

"Hmph. I see how you three rescued the children now. You are skilled combatants, even if your methods are... less than traditional." He peered towards that bone sword as he stepped from the table to the chair and back down to the floor, strapping his shield back onto his arm.
Aeter (DM):
Within this room were two bunks as well as two chairs and a table with a pack of simple trading cards upon the middle. In the closet with the now-dead man were barrels of fresh, drinkable water as well as a suitable amount of dried rations.
Enzek:
"Eh, tis all by the might of the Cudgel. Even if I don't wield one of those myself!"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Of course, as soon as everyone was confirmed to be dead, Tia went to looting like it was a normal thing. « 1d20+6 = 17 + 6 = 23 »

Argios the Red:
"I doubt the wands will be upon the first guards." He grumbled, though he didn't complain as Tia found a POTION OF CURE MODERATE WOUNDS on each body. Instead, he moved back through to the winch room, examing the mechanism.
Enzek:
"Nope nope, this is just the start."
* Enzek steps into the mechanism room with Argios, studying it for a few moments to see if he can use it to get the party across the fetid pit. K: Arch and Eng « 1d20+3 = 3 + 3 = 6 »
Castellan:
Castellan takes this convenient moment to heal himself up without Argios noticing just how he did it.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia put the two potions in her bag, making a total of five. "Arigos, do you need a potion just in case?" she asked while peering at her own bloodied self.
Argios the Red:
"I will take one, I suppose."
Castellan:
Castellan finally goes back to inspect that rune. « 1d20+5 = 11 + 5 = 16 »
Aeter (DM):
The rune upon the stone square is a Stone of Alarm. If pushed... well, it starts an alarm.
Castellan:
The mage blinks. "Don't... don't touch that," He warns.
Argios the Red:
"We could use the cage to get down... But, someone will have to climb down the ropes after us."
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia hands Argios the potion, leaving her with 4, then retrieves her rope again. She smiles at Enzek has he moves closer, certain he wasn't here to grope or molest her, only to heal her. It was also something to note that he was one of the few people who got a smile from her.
* Enzek channels a bit of positive energy into Tia, seeing the wounds she suffered during the battle. Channel Energy « 2d6 = 10 »
Enzek:
"Tia, I don't suppose you'd be able to traverse the rope?"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
(Sorry!)
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia nodded, having already decided previously to be the rope goer anyways, "Just tell me how it works," she insisted to Enzek, following the group out of the room.
Castellan:
"I suppose we'll see if it holds up," Castellan proposed to Argios, nodding for him to join him at the basket.
Aeter (DM):
The cage creaked, but it looked as if it could still handle another.
Aeter (DM):
The waters of this large lake glow softly with thick, ropy, glowing algae. Now and then tiny curls of steam rise from the lake, filling the area with a cloying stink of soggy plant matter. The surface of the water ripples now and again, but it's impossible to tell if these ripples comes from underwater currents welling up from below or from something hungrier.
Castellan:
Castellan watched the waters ominously, grasping onto a cross-spar in the cage, in some vain hope it might catch him if he falls. "It makes you wonder if the volcano beneath Cauldron is truly extinct..."
Enzek:
"Hey! No foreshadowing on this trip, please."
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
With all three in the cage, she began to turn the crank with a bit of effort and a huff, muttering to herself about how gentlemanly they all were. Though, to be fair, she was likely the only one who could come close to getting across without the cage. She also wondered how the hell anyone got back the other way like this.
Aeter (DM):
Tia takes 10 on her strength check. Slowly but surely, the cage began to descend. It was a hundred-foot journey from one edge to the other, but soon enough the entire cage was lowered down to the beach below.
Aeter (DM):
This large beach is covered with rocks and patches of fitfully glowing phosphorescent fungus and algae. More impressive are the stony ruins that protrude from the sheer rock wall along the beach's western edge. The architecture of these ruins seems melted and somehow intimidating - whatever creatures built these dwellings were obviously inhuman and alien in nature. A small building made of wood sits apart from these structures; the ropes descending from the ledge on the opposite side of the lake attach to a second winch on the side of this building.
Enzek:
"Ah, impressive! If they posted a stronger guard force this stronghold would likely be very hard to reach."
Castellan:
Castellan turned to watch Tia's descent - there seemed like woefully little he could do to assist her, should she fall, but he wanted to be ready in any case.
* Enzek trusts in Tia's agility and coordination.
Enzek:
What if you balanced first, and if you failed you'd catch yourself and then have to use climb?
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia wrapped her rope around her waist, then carefully tied it to the upper rope. She tugged on each, ensuring it was both secure and able to move. Then she climbed up, hung from the rope and proceeded to make her way over, hopefully.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:

Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
She took a breath, and continued on.

Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:

Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
« 1d20+7+2 = 16 + 7 + 2 = 25 »
Castellan:
Castellan visibly tensed as Tia slipped... slipped again! He sighed quietly as she finally made her way the rest of the way down. "Masterfully done, Miss Tia."
* Enzek claps. "Well done, I knew that'd be easy for ya!"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia hops down after untying herself, frowning at how she was stuck in the middle there. The whole ordeal no doubt cost them a good amount of time, and risked them being caught by a patrol.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"Mn," she offered to their praises, holding herself to higher standards.
Argios the Red:
"Very skilled. Now... Where do we start?" He deferred to Castellan. They were, after all, the ones doing it. He was there for support.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"We can start checking doors."
Castellan:
Castellan looked to the wooden structure - seemingly the thieves' construction, whereas the rest was likely repurposed from some long-dead natives' buildings. He nodded for Enzek to check inside, just in case.
* Enzek approaches the little shack, having a good idea of what's inside this one but deciding to check it out anyway.
Aeter (DM):
Within was, oddly, a simple square room.
Aeter (DM):
Lock Movement
Aeter (DM):
A low tripwire just past the arc of the door snapped as you entered, releasing several bits of webbing that held up the wall and causing it to to come crashing down into the small foyer where Enzek stood!

Castellan:
"Master Enzek!"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"Fuck. Help us get him out!" she hissed at Arigos while moving to pull whatever she could off of him. "Stop going ahead of me!"
Enzek:
"Owwwwwww!"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"Don't die we're coming!"
* Enzek struggles in vain to pull himself out.
Enzek:
« 1d20 = 15 »
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
« 1d20 = 17 »
* Enzek coughs a bit, dusting himself off and groaning from the pain of being nearly crushed to death.
Argios the Red:
"Perhaps we should not have you lead, Brother Enzek." He chuckled lightly. "Do you require my potion?"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia retrieved one of her four Potions of Cure Wounds and offers it to him, "I got it, keep yours."
Enzek:
"Eh, if it weren't me it woulda been one of you being flattened!"
Castellan:
"A most cunning trap."
Enzek:
"But ayep, I don't think I can refuse a potion at this point. Head's spinning!"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"I doubt Arigos would've struggled under it. It would've cowered at the sight of him and fell the other way."
Enzek:
« 2d6+3 = 6 + 3 = 9 »
Aeter (DM):
This winch seems to operate the same way that the upper one does. However, it was dusty and unused; obviously not thinking it was worth using due to the trap.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia slid to the next door, pressed flush against the wall as she reached over to the side and turned the doorknob slowly. Her dagger was at her side as she readied for another fight.
Enzek:
"Brother Argios makes a good point, though. I will let you lead on, if you guys don't mind."
* Enzek snickers.
* Enzek chugs the potion ravenously, thanking Tia when he's done.
Castellan:
Castellan noticed Tia moving on and took up a position on the other side of the door, touching his circlet. "Conserve," He murmured, before casting another False Life upon himself.
Castellan:
« 1d10+5 = 8 + 5 = 13 »
Castellan:
Castellan peered behind him, noticing the twin door. "Master Argios, Mister Enzek - another door lies just behind, if you wish to enter there."
* Enzek nods and runs off to enter with Argios.
Argios the Red:
"On the count of three, Master Castellan?"
Enzek:
"On three, or after three?"
Castellan:
"On three," He muttered, holding his hand up in a fist. One finger went up, then another... then the third!
* Enzek smirks.
Argios the Red:
"That was anticlimactic."
Enzek:
"Eh, coulda been worse. Much worse. Doesn't hurt to be cautious."
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia slid inside and moved to the next door, getting flush with the wall by this one before repeating the same process.
* Enzek points at the door ahead of them.
Enzek:
"Shall we see what's behind door #3?"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia moved intisde and motioned to the door closest to door number 3 but on the bottom. She got flush with that wall again and opened the door.
Aeter (DM):
As the Necromancer entered the very center of the room, he would come to a very curious realization: There was no ground. In fact, only the very edge of the room seemed to have a ledge to walk upon as Castellan risked dropping straight downwards! Roll a reflex save, Castellan!
Aeter (DM):
ILLUSIONARY GROUND!
Aeter (DM):
DC20, Castellan.
Castellan:
« 1d20+2 = 15 + 2 = 17 »
Castellan:
As Castellan stepped onto the floor, his foot went through it - then his ankle, and leg! "No!" He hissed arms flailing wildly as he tried, in vain, to catch himself. "No!!"
* Enzek dives onto the floor all slow-motion like with a loud, drawn-out, resounding "Nooooooooooooo!"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia stared blankley at Argios who was blocking her view of Castellan's descent into the afterlife.
Aeter (DM):
Castellan dropped straight downwards twenty feet into the pit below, the illusion breaking to show the truth of the ledge that the group stood upon as Castellan splashed into the ten feet of water below. The fall itself did not hurt; in fact, with the illusion dispelled, Castellan could see the soft blue glow of a wand's tip five feet below his feet. There was one danger in that pit, however: Several crimson blobs rose from the bottom of the pit to float upon the surface, beginning to congregate around Castellan...!

Aeter (DM):
Still enough to know what they are, given their HD: This is a swarm of bloodbloaters. They are small oozes that survive off of blood... and have the ability to completely drain a creature dry within seconds.

Tia had unfortunately opened the door right as Castellan fell. Out of all of them, she was the most likely to plummet into a mysterious body of water, but somehow Castellan had done it instead. She had to face what was behind this door, though, before going to save Castellan, provided someone told her what the fuck just happened. « 1d20 = 2 » Strength check on opening the door.
Aeter (DM):
This door contains several bunks. A dozen people ould live here, though not all the beds look lived in. However, the men looked... a bit confused as they peered at Tia, her red sash around her head echoing Oarus's.
Oarus:
" ... We thought we had invaders. Who are you? Is Triel with you? And who tha fuck fell in the pit?"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia moved to lean on the door way, her arm over her chest in a casual manner as she hoped Argios would move the fuck out of the way. "Well... he was," she said insinuating he was the one who fell in the pit. « 1d20+9 = 5 + 9 = 14 »

Enzek:
Would it have been better if I summoned a Couatl to help you?
Castellan:
Castellan flopped onto the tile, coughing and sputtering, but a wand was clearly clenched in his hand. It was likely a good time to egress, as Argios was doing!
Erialistia:
Tia eyed Castellan and tried to subtly, with the help of her eyes, gesture him out of the way or to move along.

Enzek:
"Ey, wot wot, pip pip, cheerio, mates!"
Castellan:
Castellan coughed as he looked to the others, as if clearing his throat. "Sorry about that," He rasped. "I should have been more careful... however..." He brandished the reclaimed wand.
Castellan:
O R U HAVN A GIGGLE M8
* Enzek blinks. "Hey, is that what I think it is...?"
Argios the Red:
He let out a slow breath, shaking his head before turning his eyes towards Castellan... And smiling. "It seems I underestimated all of you. Well done... And, you found one of the wands!" Argios closed the door, moving around to the other to do the same. "There are eight in total that we must find."
Erialistia:
"Do you think I should question them, or are they all guarding the pit of dispare?"
Enzek:
"Welp, I think it's safe to assume we won't be going down that way again, unless we want a fight. What about this one up here?"
* Enzek points at the doorway on the north end.
Castellan:
He coughed again as he offered the wand to Argios, beginning to feel over his body to peel off any lingering bloodbloaters - luckily, his penchant for very-covering gear kept them from most places.
Erialistia:
Tia casually walked over to Castellan after she asked, eyeing him over quickly to ensure he was safe before holding her hand out for the wand, whilst also pulling her bag around to put the wand into.
Argios the Red:
Argios took the first wand, smiling warmly.

Erialistia:

Erialistia:

Argios the Red:

Castellan:
"Should be right down the hill, Miss Tia."
Enzek:
"Yep, we'll be fine!"
Enzek:

Erialistia:

Castellan:

* Enzek 's eyes flex.
* Enzek approaches the cage-like thing and studies it. K: Arch and Eng « 1d20+3 = 9 + 3 = 12 »
* Enzek is drawn to the building they're in. K: Arch and Eng « 1d20+3 = 19 + 3 = 22 »
Aeter (DM):
The architecture was unnerving, looking almost like a more stable structure of dwarven design that was partially melted. All angles on the exterior are smooth and curved. Roll a perception check, please.

Aeter (DM):
Nothin'.
Erialistia:
Enzek:

"Intruders! KILDIV! TO ARMS!"
Narthus:
Please roll initiative.

Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:

Castellan:
Castellan grasps the femur in his sash, pulling it free as he holds it between his hands. His eyes close as he mouths the words of power, and in a moment, the knobbier end of the bone had grown and reformed into that familiar, deadly blade. With his new weapon, Castellan ducked around the corner!
Argios the Red:
Argios's brows lifted. Did Master Castellan just dash through the door with a large sword made out of... bone?

Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:

Argios the Red:

Aeter (DM):
« 1d20+14 = 18 + 14 = 32 »
Aeter (DM):
« 6d6 = 20 »
Aeter (DM):
Enzek takes 20 damage.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"..."
Aeter (DM):
And is probably now covered in a mass of timber and wood.
* Enzek snickers.
* Enzek smirks.
Aeter (DM):

Castellan:

Enzek:
K: Dungeoneering « 1d20+3 = 8 + 3 = 11 »
Castellan:
Ca-splooosh! Castellan was sent five feet into the water, doing his best to hold his breath. He looked around at the tiny red blobs starting to swim near him, then to the wand. He kicked a bit lower, scrambling to try and grab it!
Aeter (DM):
Still enough to know what they are, given their HD: This is a swarm of bloodbloaters. They are small oozes that survive off of blood... and have the ability to completely drain a creature dry within seconds.
Enzek:
"Castellan, hang on!"
* Enzek closes his eyes.
Castellan:
« 1d20+1 = 7 + 1 = 8 »
Erialistia:
Initiative: « 1d20+8 = 15 + 8 = 23 »
Enzek:
« 1d20+1 = 17 + 1 = 18 »
* Enzek mumbles a chanting prayer to St. Cuthbert. When he's finished a small flash of light appears next to him, drawing in an extraplanar creature at his side.
Bloodbloater Swarm:
« 1d20+1 = 13 + 1 = 14 »
Aeter (DM):
« 1d20+1 = 14 + 1 = 15 »
Erialistia has received initiative.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Oarus:
« 1d20 = 5 »

Oarus:
"... He who?"
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"Triel isn't with me, and he, the guy who was showing me the ropes fell. Kilvid, with the shield. I think that was his name..." She had remembered the other guy screaming it when that door was opened. « 1d20+9 = 14 + 9 = 23 »
Hamfist:
"WOT?! KILDIV FELL?!" The door behind her was shoved open, exposing three more just behind her.
Enzek has received initiative.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia turned around and frowned, nodding, "Yeah. And he left me with his baggage. How do we get him out?" « 1d20+9 = 17 + 9 = 26 »
* Enzek claps his hands together as he finishes chanting the summoning prayer to St. Cuthbert. A flash of light appears next to him as he summons...!
Tokens dropped onto map 'Kopru Ruins' by player Enzek (Player)
Hamfist:
"Get outta tha way! There's a ladder on tha side! Push it down fer 'em!"
* Enzek hears what Hamfist is saying, rushing to the ladder in question, quickly lowering it down to Castellan.
Argios the Red has received initiative.

Argios the Red:
Argios was intelligent enough. He wrapped his cloak tightly around his body to cover the symbols, stepping back to the edge to stay out of view, even slipping into the doorwya.
Argios the Red:
way.
Bloodbloater Swarm:
The swarm latched onto Castellan! Full attack swarm!
Bloodbloater Swarm:
« 1d6 = 2 »
Bloodbloater Swarm:
0 damage. No Str damage.
Enzek:
HEY NOW THOUGH
Enzek:
AT LEAST ITS BETTER THAN THIS RIGHT
Tokens dropped onto map 'Kopru Ruins' by player Enzek (Player)
Enzek:
Poison (Ex) Injury, Fortitude DC 11, initial and secondary damage 1d4 Con. The save DC is Constitution-based. A giant bee that successfully stings another creature pulls away, leaving its stinger in the creature. The bee then dies.
Castellan:
Castellan flails in the water as he finds himself assailed by the bloodbloaters. However, his congealed blood and tough body offer little in the way of a meal... just yet. He kicks his feet, swimming down to grasp that faintly glowing wand, trying to quickly figure out what it does. Spellcraft: « 1d20+5 = 9 + 5 = 14 »
Aeter (DM):
It was a wand of Control Water. Ba da da daaaa! ONE WAND GET.
Castellan has received initiative.
Erialistia has received initiative.
Castellan:
Castellan's eyes go wide as he realizes what he has in his hand!
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
"The ladder is down! I think we're good. Thanks for the help!" she offered in hopes that they would calm down and go back into their rooms, or at least not come out and kill them all. « 1d20+9 = 2 + 9 = 11 » Bluff check.
Aeter (DM):
« 1d20 = 13 »
Hamfist:
"Oy, hold on! KILDIV! Ya alright?!"
Enzek has received initiative.
* Enzek SUMMONS A GIANT BE-nah, Enzek stays at the top of the ladder, ready to assist Castellan when he decides to ascend.
Argios the Red:
"Get out. Get to the beach, quickly." He whispered hastily. "We need a larger area to fight together."
* Enzek nods at Argios. "Just need to get Castellan out of there first."
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Aeter (DM):
Swarm!
Aeter (DM):
« 1d6 = 5 »
Aeter (DM):
3 damage + 1 strength damage!
Castellan has received initiative.
Castellan:
« 1d20+1 = 11 + 1 = 12 »
Castellan:
Castellan swam to the surface, taking in a deep breath as he broke it. He felt lightheaded and dizzy, but his hand flailed around for the ladder's rungs to try and pull himself out.
Erialistia has received initiative.
Enzek:
"Let's go, Castellan. We need to get out of here in case we need to fight."
Erialistia:
"Let me get out of your ways guys. Don't need some dumb, new recruit like me falling down while you're trying to save Kildiv," she said a bit loudly as she swiftly moved towards th door Argios was moving out of. She hoped everyone else would take the hint.
Enzek has received initiative.
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
Argios took a step back, raising his shield and putting his axe at the ready. "Castellan, quickly. Behind me. Tia, the first thing that walks through this doorway, we shatter." Shieldmate: Tia. Tia gains +2 AC so long as she's adjacent to Argios.
Bloodbloater Swarm:
blub blub no more food
Castellan has received initiative.
Castellan:
Castellan coughed, hacked and sputtered, but he was surprisingly cognizant of what was going on. That sash Castellan had told Tia to do away with was surprisingly helpful right now. "I'm foin, ye fokkin' wankers," He croaked out in a crude approximation of the slain bandit, Kildiv. Bluff: « 1d20+9 = 9 + 9 = 18 »
Castellan:
He would then egress as quickly as he could.
Hamfist:
« 1d20 = 17 »
Hamfist:
" Right, right... GETCHER ASS BACK TA WORK THAN YA BLOODY PRICK." SLAM went the door.
Castellan:
"Go ta 'ell ye fokkin' git!"
Oarus:
"Well... She was pretty cute, too." Second door closed.
Erialistia:
Tia shrugged.
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo is disconnected.
Castellan Stillwind is disconnected.
Enzek is disconnected.
