Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo has connected.
Enzekicus Maximus has connected.
Castellan Stillwind has connected.
Aeter (DM):
OH
Castellan Stillwind:
Everything is black ahhhhhh
Aeter (DM):
SO
Aeter (DM):
LOOK EVERYONE IS HERE
Enzekicus Maximus:
I SEE ONLY DARKNESS BEFORE ME
Aeter (DM):
Last time we left our heroes, theyh plundered the 'undead' portion of the Kopru Ruins where normal Cultists did not roam. They had not found any additional wands of Control Water, yet they had not raised any living alarms either. Truthfully, the excursion had been peaceful; aside from a battle with two large ogres. Now, with Castellan's mind dominating the two massive undead creatures, it was time to continue on... But, where to go?
Castellan:
Castellan leaned into the untested tunnel, trying to hear anything beyond. « 1d20+2 = 19 + 2 = 21 »
* Enzek gleefully gazes at their newfound riches before closing the pack and double-checking that it's securely closed.
Aeter (DM):
Ahead was the dim sounds of the two guards that they had convinced of their innocence before, the sounds of combat seemingly ignored since... well, the mindless undead often clattered amongst themselves.
Castellan:
"This would take us back... Ought we go the other way?" He murmured as he joined the others. For another few moments, they were still nonexistant to the nearby undead.
* Enzek glances at Castellan. "Aye, we should! No sense in making them wonder what we were up to, yes?"
Argios the Red:
" Perhaps. There is rubble in the other direction, but I spotted a passageway beyond. "
Castellan:
"Let's see if we can get by, then. Miss Tia, do you want to lead the way?"
Enzek:
"Hm, good eye. Let's check it out, then!"
Castellan:
Tiaaaa~)
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
(I had to do homework!)
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
(Sorry!)
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
(Good news I can use scissors still)
Erialistia "Tia" Culnamo:
Tia seemed to be distracted by the gold, or maybe other things. Things that kept her often fading in and out. She was in a rush, she wanted this over with and done. "Whatever it is we do lets just make haste."
* Enzek nods as he follows along.
Erialistia:
She paused, remembering the FUCKING T-REX in the middle of the next room. She attempted to conceal herself with shadows, allowing it to eat the armored one instead. « 1d20+10 = 14 + 10 = 24 » Stealth check
Enzek:
"That thing's still on our side, ain't it? No need to be cautious here."
Castellan:
Castellan's spells were both still in effect - the one controlling the T-rex, and the one that made Tia nonexistant to it!
Erialistia:
"He -said- it might break when he turned the corner. You lead if you prefer to air against caution."
Enzek:
"Did he? Hmm, let's do it your way, then."
Castellan:
Castellan eyed the large pile of bones, sitting stilly as ordered as he walked by.
Argios the Red:
" Through the rubble, then." He nodded to the others, starting up through the rubble.
Castellan:
He would wait at the mouth of the narrow passage, waving the others through before beginning to squeeze in after Tia.
* Enzek circles around the other way, noting that the other passage might cut into the rubble a bit better.
Enzek:
(( Any checks or anything necessary to traverse the rubble? ))
Argios the Red:
( Going over it requires a climb or balance check. )
Enzek:
(( Since I'm on the other side of it though, and the other tunnel seems to lead to a clear passage through to the eastern tunnel there, still necessary? ))
Argios the Red:
Argios took his time to carefully climb over the rubble. (Taking 20 to get around it )
Argios the Red:
( No, it still requires a check. )
Argios the Red:
( The graphic just doesn't cover the whole room )
Enzek:
(( Ah gotcha. ))
* Enzek will also take his time, making sure he's not tripping over rocks, especially with a big sack o' loot hanging on his back.
Enzek:
(( Taking 20. ))
Erialistia:
« 1d20+7 = 10 + 7 = 17 » Tia sighed and began her attempt to get over the rubble.
Castellan:
Castellan also begins to navigate the rubble. « 1d20+1 = 2 + 1 = 3 »
Argios the Red:
Enzek and Argios are taking 20, thus it's taking them longer to get to the other side. Castellan fails to get over the rubble. Tia makes it over.
Aeter (DM):
Up ahead, Tia can clearly see the presence of more zombies on the other side of an empty chamber; these, however, seemed completely human in appearance.
Castellan:
The necromancer slipped on a scraggy pile of the stones, grunting as he flopped onto it. "Hmph..." He picked himself up to try again, taking his time to get through. (Taking 20!)
Enzek:
(( Damn nm, I don't carry rope. ))
Erialistia:
"... Guys. Can you hurry up? Castellan's family reunion is up ahead and I think someone forgot to supply the meat..."
* Enzek gives Tia an amusing snort.
Aeter (DM):
Is Tia waiting?
Aeter (DM):
2 minutes pass. The trio make it over the rubble, gather up their things, and are ready to go once more. How long is hide from undead active?
Castellan:
(Think it was minute per level, so it's likely goneskis.)
Castellan:
(Would have lasted five minutes.)
Aeter (DM):
kk. Hide from Undead is no longer on.
Erialistia:
(If you fuckers get bitten...)
Castellan:
Could I make a Kno: Religion check to estimate roughly how power (IE, hitdice or such) the zombles are? )
Aeter (DM):
( Go for it. )
* Enzek creeps in beside Tia and glances down the hallway. "Oh dear..."
Castellan:
Castellan takes a look at the shambling, groaning former-people, trying to get an idea of how fresh they might have been, how vigorous they might yet still be. « 1d20+6 = 5 + 6 = 11 »
Aeter (DM):
Castellan can't figure it out. However, they are zombies... and zombies are notoriously pretty simple, weak undead -- especially considering they *were* human.
* Enzek turns to his group and speaks in a hushed tone. "Whadda ya say? I'm kind of itching to take those things out, myself."
Castellan:
"Let me try to quell them... at the least, it should make them easier to vanquish."
* Enzek nods. "You're the dead-thing expert!"
Erialistia:
She shook her head with a smirk, unable to believe how Castellan spoke sometimes. They were standing a hall way from zombies and he's using quell and vanquish.
Argios the Red:
"Very well. This is your speciality, Castellan."
Castellan:
Castellan would grasp his cloak clasp, holding it up somewhat to present the fire-wreathed skull that was carved from the single, solid gemstone. IT WAS AS PRETTYFUL AS THE WORDS HE USED THAT TIA SO CRUELLY MOCKED. He stepped into clear view of the zombies. "Fall, you wretches! Fall beneath the Stern Lady's will!"
Castellan:
(Okay so rebuking... *scans.*)
Castellan:
So first I roll a turning check! « 1d20+4 = 20 + 4 = 24 »
Castellan:
So I can effect Undead up to 8 HD with this rebuke. )
Castellan:
So now I roll turning damage... « 2d6+4+4+1 = 5 + 4 + 4 + 1 = 14 »
Aeter (DM):
Each undead is only 2HD.
* Enzek folds his arms, leaning against the wall as he lets out a coarse-sounding cackle.
Aeter (DM):
Each takes 14 damage, yes?
Castellan:
Well I rebuke and not turn, so I don't know what happens. o.o ))
Castellan:
I don't know how the 'damage' roll now calculates into this. xD )
Enzek:
I always thought rebuking was controlling, while turning was damaging. ))
Castellan:
I think it means I can turn up to 14 HD in undead in this one action. ))
Castellan:
well, rebuke, not turn. ))
Aeter (DM):
You can either
Castellan:
So since there's only 8 HD... ))
Aeter (DM):
awe them, causing them to cower for 10 rounds, or command any number of undead whose total HD do not exceed your level.
Aeter (DM):
You get no damage.
Castellan:
Okay, so I can nab two of them and awe the other two? )
Aeter (DM):
No. You can command or rebuke; not both.
Castellan:
Commanded creatures are actually a big butt to control so I'm going to just awe them all. ))
Castellan:
(At least ones commanded via rebuking.)
Enzek:
(( Stepping away for one moment. ))
Aeter (DM):
All four of the undead turned their eyes to Castellan just in time to be caught in that ray. They immediately cowered away in awe of the awesome necromantic power. (All attacks against the zombies have a +2 to the attack roll)
Aeter (DM):
Roll initiative.
Castellan:
"I cannot get too close, if you three want to finish them off... Back, wretches!" He hissed at the zombies as they recoiled at the presentation of Wee Jas' symbol. « 1d20+1 = 5 + 1 = 6 »
Unknown command: "/roll-dice4-sides20". Try /help for a list of commands.
Erialistia:
Initiative: « 1d20+8 = 9 + 8 = 17 »
Aeter (DM):
« 1d20-1 = 9 - 1 = 8 » « 1d20-1 = 3 - 1 = 2 » « 1d20-1 = 4 - 1 = 3 » « 1d20-1 = 12 - 1 = 11 »
Aeter (DM):
« 1d20+1 = 17 + 1 = 18 »
Aeter (DM):
Rolling for Enzek.
Enzek:
(( Sorry, back. ))
Aeter (DM):
Nevermind.
Aeter (DM):
Roll init!
Enzek:
(( My mom requested my semi-tallness service. ))
Enzek:
« 1d20+1 = 2 + 1 = 3 »
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
"Let's finish this early!" Argios declared, grinning broadly -- (Rolling maneuvers)
Argios the Red:
« 1d6 = 6 »« 1d5 = 5 »
Argios the Red:
whoops
Argios the Red:
« 1d5 = 5 »« 1d4 = 1 »
Castellan:
(I'm going to be very sore if you guys need more than ten rounds to kill cowering zombies.)
Enzek:
(( I don't kill on this character, accept it. ))
Argios the Red:
Argios enters Martial Spirit stance! He moves past Tia, charging forward -- right into the tunnel... and steps right upon the rune. It was previously unseen, but the danger was still there all the same. The moment his foot touched the stone, the mystic sigil of warding flared into life and bursted out a brilliant flurry of lights, right in front of Argios's eyes... threatening to burn them out completely.
Argios the Red:
( Glyph of Warding: Blindness. DC16 fortitude save. )
Castellan:
Oh dear. ))
Enzek:
"W-What the?!"
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+8 = 17 + 8 = 25 »
Castellan:
Castellan raised his arm, shielding his eyes from the dazzling flash of the triggered trap. It was too far away to really effect them, but it was still quite bright compared to the dim caverns.
Argios the Red:
Argios passes, only clenching his eyes closed as he roared past, moving quickly through to Zombie 3 and lifting his axe high above his head before bringing it down in one hard swing. (Foehammer)
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+5 = 20 + 5 = 25 »
Argios the Red:
Rolling to confirm.
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+5 = 7 + 5 = 12 »
Argios the Red:
Human Zombie AC is 11-2 = 9. Critical hit confirmed.
Argios the Red:
« 1d12+3+1d12+3+1d12+3+2d6 = 12 + 3 + 1 + 3 + 10 + 3 + 11 = 43 »
Argios the Red:
Argios's strike hit the zombie square upon the center of the head. The axe continued downward, cleaving through skull, down through it's neck, and completely down through the enemy's torso. The large blade struck the stone floor of the cavern between the zombie's legs, completely cleaving the creature in twain. Both halves fell to the ground in a heap.
Castellan:
(Clearly all my doing. >.>!)
Enzek:
"Oh, nice shot, brother!"
Argios the Red:
Martial Stance: Argios heals for 2HP.
Erialistia has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
"Cuthbert!" He growled out in a battle cry, the aged adventurer showing just why he had been so respected. He raised his blade again, ready to continue the onslaught of these foul creatures.
Erialistia:
It was a matter of sportsmanship. This was a competition. Cut a torsoe in half though? Hard act to follow. Tia approached, using all of her will power to -not- strut just incase this didn't work. She gripped her dagger so appropriately named Last Rites and aimed for Zombie 1, attempting to cut his head off in one quick swing towards his neck. « 1d20+8 = 15 + 8 = 23 »
Erialistia:
« 1d4+3 = 3 + 3 = 6 »
Castellan has received initiative.
Erialistia:
(PEE BREAK.)
Castellan:
Castellan had pretty few options at the moment - he was low on spells and if he got too close, he would break his influence on the zombies. He's going to take it easy on this one. (end!)
zombie 4:
Zombie 4 attacked the closest enemy to him; Tia. It was Castellan they feared, and Tia was just fresh meat.
zombie 4:
« 1d20+2 = 2 + 2 = 4 »
zombie 4:
Miss.
Castellan:
That's not how cowering works a;woeiruaowreigy ))
Castellan:
These guys are big meat targets for like nine more rounds! ))
zombie 1:
Ah. So it is!
Enzek has received initiative.
* Enzek stands by. He's tangled with zombies before, knowing that his trusty crossbow was of no use, and that his magical reserves were quite tapped out by this point. He studies the confrontation with a practiced eye, ready to intervene with healing magic should his companions get overwhelmed. (End turn)
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Castellan:
Could always heal the zombie. ))
Argios the Red:
« 1d3 = 2 »
Argios the Red:
Vanguard Strike unlocked.
Enzek:
(( I considered that but only have one level 2 spell, a few 0s, and a couple domain spells. ))
Enzek:
(( Dammit, I missed my cat kill and eat a spider, lol. ))
Castellan:
o.o))
Argios the Red:
Argios moved forward, supporting Tia (Shieldmate!). He moved into the midst of the zombies, swinging his axe through undead flesh freely. They were abominations against Saint Cuthbert, and would find their peace in the afterlife. He brought that axe down on Zombie 1, supporting Tia with it.
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+5 = 19 + 5 = 24 »
Argios the Red:
« 1d12+3 = 9 + 3 = 12 »
Erialistia has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
Argios also heals 2 HP!
Erialistia:
The dagger now turned towards Zombie 4. That bitch tried to -bite- her, mother fucking corpse. "I hate your family," she growled to Castellan as she lunged for the Zombie. « 1d20+8+2 = 20 + 8 + 2 = 30 »
Argios the Red:
i forgot
Argios the Red:
undead are immune to crits
Argios the Red:
Oh well
Erialistia:
« 1d4+3 = 3 + 3 = 6 »
Argios the Red:
First attack wasn't a crit from Argios, still killed it tho.
Enzek:
(( Yep. Undead, constructs, etc. ))
Castellan:
Lawl nub. Also it couldn't try to bite her, Aeter was wrong.))
Castellan has received initiative.
Castellan:
"Keep it up!" (End!)
Enzek has received initiative.
Aeter (DM):
Castellan is just going to chee cha rah rah rah
Castellan:
It's my secret Bard level nobody knows about.)
* Enzek growls in frustration, tired of feeling useless in this fight. As more of a show of solidarity to the rest of the party, Enzek rushes into the fight, crossbow stowed. He makes his way toward the nearest zombie, his hands glowing with a faint white light. (Spontaneously converting my Purify Food and Drink level 0 spell to Cure Minor Wounds, touching Zombie 4) with it.
Enzek:
(( Said Will negates, do I need to make an attack roll too? ))
Castellan:
Would have to make a Touch. +2 to hit because scurred. )
Aeter (DM):
^
Enzek:
(( Ahh. I dunno what modifier that'd be, shoot. One sec... ))
Aeter (DM):
BAB+Str+2
Castellan:
Normal attack roll, just add +2. ))
Castellan:
Just a lower target armor value. )
Enzek:
« 1d20+6 = 19 + 6 = 25 »
Enzek:
(( If it hits, it's just 1pt of damage. xD ))
Aeter (DM):

Enzek:

Enzek:
(( It's something! ))
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
Unlock: « 1d2 = 1 »
Argios the Red:
Crusader's Strike unlocked.
Argios the Red:
Argios smiled to his companions, deciding to assist them as well. He used his very will to bolster Brother Enzek's courageous charge, lifting his axe high to slice down at the zombie (Crusader's Strike)
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+7 = 4 + 7 = 11 »
Argios the Red:
Hiiits.
Argios the Red:
« 1d12+3 = 4 + 3 = 7 »
Argios the Red:
Doesn't kill. Heals Enzek for... « 1d6+4 = 5 + 4 = 9 »
Argios the Red:
9 HP.
Enzek:
Ooh nice. ))
Erialistia has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
" It is a good way to stretch the muscles, I think."
Erialistia:
Tia was pissy. These guys smelled and they were getting in the way. Another modest attack, lunging for Zombie 4. « 1d20+8+2 = 13 + 8 + 2 = 23 »
Erialistia:
« 1d4+3 = 4 + 3 = 7 »
Enzek:
"If our opponents weren't mindless, no doubt they'd be quite perplexed!"
* Enzek grins wickedly.
Castellan has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
" No doubt. Let's push past this one and continue on. "
Castellan:
Oh! Sorry. )
Castellan:
Castellan keeps on doin' his thing.
Argios the Red:
YEAH
Argios the Red:
YOU BETTER BE
Enzek has received initiative.
Castellan:
LOOK I'M JUST CHILLIN' BECAUSE THE MELEE PUKES CAN'T CUT ZOMBIES UP FASTER.
Castellan:
THEY AREN'T EVEN FIGHTING BACK I MEAN COME ON
Castellan:
IT'S LIKE PUNCHING A BABY
* Enzek draws his dagger and lets out the most menacing "rawr!" he can, then proceeds to advance on the remaining zombie.
Argios the Red:
Shank shank.
* Enzek is also, yes, standing on top of the other dead zombie to do so. xD
Castellan:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ5DfWN3fWU

Castellan:

Argios the Red:
Hits.
Argios the Red:
Roll damage.
Enzek:
« 1d3+1 = 2 + 1 = 3 »
Argios the Red:
Bthunk.
Enzek:
(( It's silvered if that does anything. ))
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
Argios continued recovering his HP, using a move action to unstrap his shield and grasp the haft of his axe with the other hand before bringing it down with both hands atop the Zombie's head. « 1d20+9 = 7 + 9 = 16 »
Argios the Red:
« 1d12+5 = 1 + 5 = 6 »
Argios the Red:
Whatever. It's dead. The horse is dead.
Castellan:
Man wins, toddler loses! )
Argios the Red:
" Right, then." He nodded, stepping away from the zombies... Taking a moment to take a deep breath and recover his maneuvers with a prayer to St Cuthbert.
* Enzek wipes the gore off his formerly-pristine and unbloodied dagger, feeling like quite the mighty barbarian!
Castellan:
Castellan finally comes nearer, looking for any identifying marks on the zombies' clothing, trying to figure out who they might have been in life.
Enzek:
"Maybe, just maybe, I should take up your line of work, Argios!"
* Enzek chuckles
Aeter (DM):
Any equipment or identifying marks that the zombies may have had seemed to have long since rotted away. They were, however, obviously bandits; the crimson cloth evident.
Aeter (DM):
( BRB, bio break. )
Castellan:
Kk. )
Enzek:
(( Brb as well. ))
Aeter (DM):
( Back )
Argios the Red:
" Well, then. Are we prepared?"
Castellan:
WB. )
Erialistia:
Tia nodded, smoothed her leathers over her ample curves and proceeded ahead.
Enzek:
"Yes indeed, there's still more to this passageway I s'pose."
Castellan:
Castellan snapped out of his daze, seemingly having been watching Tia twerk while Tadkins and Aeter were AFK.
Castellan:
"Let's."
Enzek:
(( Pfft. ))
Aeter (DM):
This cavern has seen better days. It was probably once a fairly well-appointed room, complete with carpets, a laboratory, a small altar, and a bed, but some recent terrific explosion has scattered the furnishings of the room into piles of twisted rubble along the edges of the cave. On the far end of the cave, nestled into a corner, was the odd gnoll. The creature is an intimidating sight: an undead gnoll with a suit of chainmail and a spiked chain wired directly into his rotting flesh. He's nearly skeletal, and his dry skin is stretched tight over his bones. Clumps of fur have torn free, leaving several bald patches in his once-thick pelt. His eyes glow with a nasty yellow light, as does his saliva. His fangs are jagged, sharp, and broken. Nearby was a small impish creature that flitted about the gnoll, speaking in several different voices; obviously to torment the gnoll as he argued with each voice in that deep, raspy voice as if they were parts of himself in his descent into the madness that undeath offered.
* Enzek purses his lips in disgust. This must be the creature that the text they recently found spoke of, and one of the Triad leaders!
Erialistia:
Tia slowly stepped back and to the side. No way was she going first down a tight passage. That's what Arigos was good for... penetrating them tight passages.
Enzek:
(( giggity ))
Castellan:
Castellan narrowed his eyes; Intelligent undead were rare creatures, indeed. He tried to see just what the Gnoll had become. « 1d20+6 = 12 + 6 = 18 »
Argios the Red:
"... Disgusting." He declared, peering around the group as Tia stepped back. He chuckled, taking his position in the front.
* Enzek also studies the creature from his vantage point, while he can. « 1d20+3 = 12 + 3 = 15 »
* Enzek also takes notice of the strange impish creature near it. « 1d20+3 = 13 + 3 = 16 »
Aeter (DM):
The other creature is Know (Planes).
Enzek:
(( Yep I have a +3 to most knowledges around the board. ))
Enzek:
(( Exceptions being Nobility and Local, which are +4 ))
Aeter (DM):
For once, this was something that Castellan knew about. This was the worst fate of a Priest of Wee Jas. This creature is a Huecuva. These are corpses of heretical men cursed by a diety to live in unlife. It seemed as if whatever ritual it was that was complete.. and it had failed, as this spirit was far from being as advanced as an intelligent necromancer would have wished. Though huecuva's spark of intelligence was mixed with insanity, one thing was horribly similar between each of them: They gain an intense hatred for anything living.
Aeter (DM):
The small creature, Enzek knew, was a Quasit. A devil from the lower planes, and it was the devil that noticed the two first. Taken by surprise, the imp turned its eyes to the group and waved his hand, immediately shifting into invisibility, leaving behind one object it could not easily carry in its size: A wand of control water, very similar to the one they had already found.
Gutterrut:
"Living. The living approach. We should eat them, we should!"
Enzek:
"Eww, now they're getting demons involved!?"
Enzek:
"Yeah, we can't let these guys still stand."
Castellan:
"Beware the Gnoll - it's become a Huecuva. It still retains some magical power, and you may grow sickly if he strikes you." ((Do I have time to cast Boneblade? ))
Aeter (DM):
You do. One round of casts before combat starts.
Enzek:
"Duly noted. Time to summon up a bit of extra help, in that case. This could get ugly."
* Enzek closes his eyes and concentrates on his magic.
Castellan:
I use two first level spell slots to cast Boneblade! ))
Argios the Red:
" Stay behind me. We cannot underestimate this creature." He nodded over his shoulder, clutching his axe tighter.
Enzek:
"I hear ya, brother!"
Argios the Red:
( Bone blade cast. Does Enzek want to cast or prepare a spell before init? )
* Enzek grins as he finishes casting the spell, a celestial critter suddenly popping into existance behind him, buzzing.

Enzek:
YES
Enzek:
YES I DO
Enzek:
BWAHAHA
Argios the Red:
jesus fucking christ
Castellan:
Castellan grasps his spare femur in his hands, the knobby end remaining as a handle as the rest grows and flattens into the toothed, sickly blade that was far less effective in this situation than against, say, some innocent schoolchildren, but it would be better than nothing.
Castellan:
NOT THE BEES
Castellan:
NOT THE GIANT CELESTIAL BEEEEEEES

And now 'd'aw'ing because it's so adorable looking? ))
Argios the Red:
Argios enters Iron Guard Glare stance and rushes forward into combat just as he had against the zombies, aiming to pin this beast into the corner as he moved directly into melee...
Argios the Red:
Argios unfortunately suffers an AoO from that reach weapon!
Argios the Red:

Argios the Red:
« 1d20+5 = 5 + 5 = 10 »
Argios the Red:

Gutterrut:
Gutterrut wasn't going to go into combat. He was a quasit. He was going to stay invisible.
Erialistia has received initiative.
Erialistia:
Tia gripped her dagger, still in hand from the zombies, and proceeded around the corner.
Erialistia:
There was no way she could reach the thing, so she stepped into the room and out of the way, preparing herself as the others filed in and Arigos held the beasts attention.

The corpse, smashed against the wall and that silver shield, simply gave out. The lights within its eyes vanished, causing it to crumple to the ground... and causing Argios to stagger backwards. He took a deep breath, turning his eyes to the ground at Tia's feet. He reached down, immediately snatching up the wand. " This... Alright." He shook his head, glancing about. "That small creature seems to have vanished, and the living minions of the Ebon Triad do not come to these tunnels. I think we should take our time and rest here... It will be night soon, and we may have better luck catching them while they sleep."
Castellan:

Argios the Red:
Water wand.

Enzek:
"Mm, good point!"
Argios the Red:

Enzek:
"It will be a matter of time until the other two come looking for their brother, though."
Argios the Red:
" This is true.. They may raise the alarm, but we might have to risk it. I don't think any of us are currently fit to continue fighting today, and we cannot exactly *leave*."
Castellan:
"Master Argios is correct."
Enzek:
"Of course! Let's set up...camp. Yeah, let's call it camp."
* Enzek snickers.
Castellan:
Castellan looks for anything that might make the room more defensible - after picking up the Inflict wand.
Aeter (DM):
There was nothing but rubble; however, the rubble could be constructed and camp could be set up in that room that was once a rather good bedroom. (This is where we're calling it quits for the night.
* Enzek nods. "You're the dead-thing expert!"
Castellan:

Castellan:

Aeter (DM):
awe them, causing them to cower for 10 rounds, or command any number of undead whose total HD do not exceed your level.

Castellan:

Argios the Red:
" Right, then." He nodded, stepping away from the zombies... Taking a moment to take a deep breath and recover his maneuvers with a prayer to St Cuthbert.
* Enzek wipes the gore off his formerly-pristine and unbloodied dagger, feeling like quite the mighty barbarian!
Castellan:
Castellan finally comes nearer, looking for any identifying marks on the zombies' clothing, trying to figure out who they might have been in life.
Enzek:
"Maybe, just maybe, I should take up your line of work, Argios!"
* Enzek chuckles
Aeter (DM):
Any equipment or identifying marks that the zombies may have had seemed to have long since rotted away. They were, however, obviously bandits; the crimson cloth evident.

* Enzek also studies the creature from his vantage point, while he can. « 1d20+3 = 12 + 3 = 15 »
* Enzek also takes notice of the strange impish creature near it. « 1d20+3 = 13 + 3 = 16 »

So, my phone just did something weird.)
Tarkilar:
Tarkilar's anger rose as Tia's dagger pierced through that chainmail and into his flesh, leaving a burning wound. He turned, using that spiked chain to rend across Tia's abdomen.
Castellan:
Nevermind, it works again now. :x )
Tarkilar:
« 1d20+10 = 14 + 10 = 24 »
Tarkilar:
Hits.
Tarkilar:
« 2d4+8 = 5 + 8 = 13 »
Tarkilar:
13 damage to Tia.
Enzek has received initiative.
Erialistia:
"MOTHERFUCKINGSHITFUCKER!" she growled out between gritted teeth as the chain dug into her skin and completely ignored the leather.
Enzek:
(( Ouch, language young lady! ))
Erialistia:
(She is a low born woman, sir)
* Enzek notices that his brother is having a bit of trouble shaking off some kind of debilitating effect. He runs up to Argios and lends him a bit of divine assistance. (Casting Guidance on Argios, he may choose to use the divine boon to add +1 to an attack, saving throw or skill check)
Tarkilar:
Just 1, or permanently?
Tarkilar:
Oh.
Tarkilar:
A single check.
Tarkilar:
Saving throw!
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
SHAKE IT OFF.
Argios the Red:

Enzekicus Maximus is disconnected.
Enzekicus Maximus is disconnected.
Argios the Red:
Argios shakes it off, starting to move again! (Spell expires. Everyone adjacent to Argios gains +1 AC )
Argios the Red:
( for shieldmate. )_
Erialistia has received initiative.
Castellan:
Tadkins DCed. )
Argios the Red:
( Noticed. We will keep going until hje gets back. )
Erialistia:
Tia was too fucking tired for this shit. Ain't nobody got time for demons and mother fucking bees. She walked her happy ass over to the other side of the room while pulling her satchel to her front.
Aeter (DM):
Tia takes a full round withdraw action.
Castellan has received initiative.
Enzekicus Maximus has connected.
Castellan:
Castellan takes another stab at poking out Tarkilar's eye. « 1d20+2+2 = 2 + 2 + 2 = 6 »
Enzekicus Maximus:
Did my last action go through? ))
Enzek:
(( I gave Argios some guidance. xD ))
Aeter (DM):
( Yep )
Enzek:
Oh good. ))
Aeter (DM):
( And he used it to get free of the spell. )
Enzek:
Woot! ))
Tarkilar:
Tarkilar, his spell fizzled, decided to try something different. He openly took the attacks as he casted another spell. (Take your AoO)
Castellan:
« 1d20+2+2 = 20 + 2 + 2 = 24 »
Argios the Red:
( Hits. )
Argios the Red:
( Shield Bash for the AoO)
Castellan:

Castellan:
« 1d4-2 = 4 - 2 = 2 »
Argios the Red:
Big whiff.
Castellan:
Two silver stabbin' damage.
Castellan:
So +2 DC to his Concentration. )
Aeter (DM):
Concentration! « 1d10 = 7 »
Aeter (DM):
Fail.
Aeter (DM):
Spell fizzles!
Enzek has received initiative.
Castellan:
It was all in the stabbin'.
* Enzek rushes over to Tia's aid, summoning the last bit of magical reserve within him to channel positive energy to heal her wounds. (Cure Light Wounds on Tia « 1d8+4 = 3 + 4 = 7 »
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
Rolling for maneuver
Argios the Red:
« 1d3 = 2 »
Erialistia:
(Don't you throw bees at me...)
Argios the Red:
Crusader Strike unlocked.
Argios the Red:
Argios was not dumb. He couldn't breathe, but he saw that it was only silver that did damage... And so his axe was actually *dropped*, simply clattering to the floor as he took his shield in both hands and literally clubbed the Huecuva Gnome over the head with it. (Crusader Strike: Healing Tia if hits. )
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+7 = 3 + 7 = 10 »
Argios the Red:
Miss.
Erialistia has received initiative.
Erialistia:
Tia reached into her satchel, searching for and retrieving her Potion: Cure Light Wounds - then drank it.
Erialistia:
« 1d6+1 = 3 + 1 = 4 »
Argios the Red:
(1d8! )
Erialistia:
« 1d8+1 = 2 + 1 = 3 »
Castellan has received initiative.
Castellan:
The sizzle of Tia's weapon, and his own successful lunge had tipped Castellan off to his best odds of maiming the fiend. He took another swipe, a broad arcing slash. « 1d20+2+2 = 3 + 2 + 2 = 7 »
Castellan:
Actually just +2 now, but miss. qq)
Tarkilar:
Tarkilar let out another roar, swinging his magical weapon hard; this time towards Castellan!
Tarkilar:
« 1d20+10 = 3 + 10 = 13 »
Tarkilar:
Misses.
Enzek has received initiative.
Castellan:
Hohoheho, not today!)
* Enzek , knowing his spell reserves were exhausted today, turns back to his crossbow to try and end this battle. He loads up another silvered bolt and fires! « 1d20+5 = 2 + 5 = 7 »
Tarkilar:
Miss.
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Enzek:
(End turn)
Argios the Red:
« 1d2 = 1 »
Argios the Red:
Argios needed to keep up the pressure. Iron Guard's Glare re-activated. He used his shield, swinging it like a club towards the beast's head. (Leading the Attack)
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+7 = 14 + 7 = 21 »
Argios the Red:
Hits. Mithril Heavy Shield counts as true silver.
Argios the Red:
Two hands on one weapon meeeans...
Argios the Red:
« 1d4+5 = 4 + 5 = 9 »
Castellan:
(Oh, let me take my chain shirt off and whip him around with it.)
Argios the Red:
[9 damage. Attacks on Tarkilar for the next round get a +4 to hit. )
Castellan:
And theeeen?)
Erialistia has received initiative.
Castellan:
Also when all seems lost, my T-rex will burrow in to the Jurrasic Park theme and just eat this mofo.)
Erialistia:
No be, and she was hurt. She screamed in rage as she moved passed Enzek, dagger held so tight in her hand that her knuckles whitened. The movement was quick, even her shifting into Island of Blade stance as she weaved passed Castellan and Arigos and lunged her blade towards the beast. (Rabid Wolf Strike + Island of Blades + Mithril Dagger) « 1d20+4+2 = 12 + 4 + 2 = 18 »
Tarkilar:
AoO! -4 from Iron Guard's Glare.
Tarkilar:
« 1d20+6 = 8 + 6 = 14 »
Tarkilar:
Miss.
Tarkilar:
18 hits, roll damage.
Erialistia:
« 1d4+3 = 1 + 3 = 4 » « 2d6 = 7 »
Aeter (DM):
11 damage. Tia now has 11 AC until her next turn.
Castellan:
Castellan had better openings due to Tia's stance, giving him better odds as he swung again in a wide arc, trying to catch some bit of exposed flesh. « 1d20+2+2 = 11 + 2 + 2 = 15 »
Castellan:
And +4 from ARgios or something? )
Aeter (DM):
Yep. 19. Roll damage.
Castellan:
« 1d4-2 = 1 - 2 = -1 »
Castellan:

Aeter (DM):

Castellan:
« 1d20+2+2+4 = 2 + 2 + 2 + 4 = 10 »
Tarkilar:
0 damage anyway
Tarkilar:
ha ha
Tarkilar:
Tarkilar wasn't stupid. He reached down, grasping up another wand from his belt; this one wicked and curved. He pressed it to his own flesh... (Inflict Moderate Wounds)
Tarkilar:
« 2d8+3 = 8 + 3 = 11 »
Tarkilar:
11 HP healed.
Castellan:
Gotta get me onna dem. )
Enzek has received initiative.
* Enzek exploits the opening Argios left for him, loading another silvered bolt and hoping third time is the charm. « 1d20+9 = 2 + 9 = 11 »
Tarkilar:
Is that with the +4 from Argios?
Enzek:
Yep. ))
Enzek:
d'aw well (End turn)
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
Argios continued to lead the strike, working to leave this cursed beast open. (Vanguard Strike unlocked and used.) He lashed out with that shield, shoving him into the corner and ducking his head to stay away from that glowing saliva.
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+9 = 6 + 9 = 15 »
Argios the Red:
AC 16, misses.
Erialistia has received initiative.
Erialistia:
Like a pin being pushed into a pin cushion, Tia sought to penetrate the demon with her dagger over and over until the holes she filled it with drained every last bit of it's life source from it's deceased body. The logistics involved in the undead bewildered her and she'd no doubt find herself glaring at poor Castellan for no rational reason when this was all over. « 1d20+8 = 17 + 8 = 25 »
Erialistia:
« 1d4+3 = 2 + 3 = 5 »
Castellan has received initiative.
Castellan:
Castellan was just as desperate to destroy the thing, remembering lessons learned from Drak'thar about how difficult intelligent Undead were to control. He lunged for a stab this time. « 1d20+2+2 = 3 + 2 + 2 = 7 »
Aeter (DM):
CASTELLAN
Aeter (DM):
LET'S END THISIFSFODhfa
Aeter (DM):

Castellan:
I WAS TYPING YOU BUTT.
Tarkilar:
Tarkilar took another hard swing towards the now shieldless Argios with that spiked chain.
Tarkilar:
« 1d20+10 = 6 + 10 = 16 »
Tarkilar:
Miss!
Enzek has received initiative.
* Enzek pew pews with his chew chew « 1d20+5 = 2 + 5 = 7 »

Argios the Red:

Argios the Red:

Erialistia has received initiative.
Erialistia:
This was getting redundant but she was patient and persistant. STAB. « 1d20+8 = 17 + 8 = 25 »
Erialistia:
« 1d4+3 = 4 + 3 = 7 »
Erialistia:
Fuck my abilities)
Castellan has received initiative.
Castellan:
This time with feeling! « 1d20+2+2 = 2 + 2 + 2 = 6 »
Argios the Red:
just not feeling it
Enzek has received initiative.
Argios the Red:
I LIED
Argios the Red:
NOT ENZEK'S TURN
Castellan:
Dude if he wands again I'm gonna punch him in the dick. I think it provokes aoos anyways. )
Tarkilar:
It doesn't.
Tarkilar:
Tarkilar, as blinded with rage as he was, did not heal himself this time. Oh no. He lashed out towards Tia with that life sapping wand.
Tarkilar:
Rolling touch.
Tarkilar:
« 1d20+9 = 2 + 9 = 11 »
Tarkilar:
Doesn't touch.
Tarkilar:
Wands use the spell trigger activation method, so casting a spell from a wand is usually a standard action that doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity.
Enzek has received initiative.
* Enzek summons the power of his new gods, Peter Griffin and the Giant Chicken, to guide his crossbow bolt! « 1d20+5 = 8 + 5 = 13 »
Tarkilar:
Nope
Argios the Red has received initiative.
Castellan:
Cuthbert took poorly to your heresy.
Enzek:
Cuthbert is an avid Family Guy fan.
Enzek:
Canon.
Argios the Red:
" Slice off its head already! " He snarled, continuing to slam that shield against the gnoll to try to finally silence it for good.
Argios the Red:
« 1d20+9 = 17 + 9 = 26 »
Argios the Red:
« 1d4+5 = 2 + 5 = 7 »
Argios the Red:
And that did it!
Enzek:
"F'ing finally!"
* Enzek goes to have a smoke break.
Argios the Red:
The corpse, smashed against the wall and that silver shield, simply gave out. The lights within its eyes vanished, causing it to crumple to the ground... and causing Argios to stagger backwards. He took a deep breath, turning his eyes to the ground at Tia's feet. He reached down, immediately snatching up the wand. " This... Alright." He shook his head, glancing about. "That small creature seems to have vanished, and the living minions of the Ebon Triad do not come to these tunnels. I think we should take our time and rest here... It will be night soon, and we may have better luck catching them while they sleep."
Castellan:
The water wand or the negative wand? )
Argios the Red:
Water wand.
Enzek:
"Hmm, agreed. This room..."
* Enzek glances about at all the strewed-about clutter. "This could prove to be a bit interesting, yes yes?"
Castellan:
"The skeleton is still on guard, I don't think many will come this way..."
Enzek:
"Mm, good point!"
Argios the Red:
On the corpse: +1 spiked chain, wired to the body and requires 10 minutes to remove. +1 chainmail, wired to the body and takes 10 minutes to remove. Wand of inflict moderate wounds (34 charges remaining). Garnet-studded gold holy symbol of Erythnul worth 425gp
* Enzek snickers.
It was a good adventure! Cleared out this entire wing! The next time we can play would be... Friday. )
